Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable and motivated Surfacing Operative to join our surfacing team. In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of road surfacing and highway maintenance projects, working as part of a skilled crew to lay and finish asphalt safely and efficiently. This role involves working outdoors, travelling to sites, and operating as part of a team to ensure work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety. Nightshift working is required. Key Responsibilities Assist with the laying, raking, levelling, and finishing of asphalt materials Support the operation of surfacing plant, tools, and equipment Carry out site preparation and general labouring duties before, during, and after surfacing works Work closely with the Foreperson and wider surfacing squad to complete projects safely and efficiently Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance of plant, equipment, and PPE Follow site instructions, safe systems of work, and company procedures at all times Maintain a clean and safe working environment Report any safety ..... full job details .....
