Supporter Engagement Manager

Merrifield Consultants is working with a fantastic hospice in North London to find their new Support Engagement Manager to be responsible for acquisition campaigns, including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, legacies, retention campaigns, including ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. Leading a team of two, you will grow relationships with supporters and work closely with the wider fundraising team to devise and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys.

Job Responsibilities:
- Management of the supporter segmentation and journeys in order to increase levels of engagement and stewardship. Work with the wider team to develop and implement a stewardship programme including regular enews update, mailings and on-line activity
- Manage a continuous cycle of testing new channels and developing acquisition and retention individual giving products, based on audience insight and sector trends
- Effective line management, professional support and personal development of the two Supporter Engagement Officers (one overseeing Challenge Events and the other newly recruited to support existing individual giving programs)
- Monitor budgets, targets and KPI''s used to evaluate the effectiveness of activity and making recommendations to enhance future performance.
- Work in line with legal, ethical and professional standards to ensure that our collection, storage and use of data is compliant with our data protection policy
- Develop and implement rich supporter journeys that help build lifelong engaged relationships with supporters
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing high-performing Individual Giving income
- Proven experience of developing and delivering effective stewardship journeys for multiple audiences
- Proven experience of developing and evaluating acquisition or retention campaigns and activity across a variety of offline and digital channels
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, and able to inspire wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Exceptional spoken and written English language skills to present relevant details clearly and concisely
