Now we''re seeking a Supported Housing Officer to provide effective support to residents through individual support plans, with the aim of promoting independent living. You will be helping to deliver good practice across the service, including assessing clients'' suitability for acceptance to the hostel, advising them of welfare benefits, housing, training and employment opportunities - and working with them to produce outcome focused support plans. To join us as a Supported Housing Officer, we''re looking for: • Experience in supported housing, with a thorough knowledge of welfare benefits, including housing benefit, and a proactive approach to rent arrears. • Experience of assisting vulnerable people to identify personal goals through proactive and outcome focused support planning. • Ability to deal positively and innovatively with clients exhibiting challenging behaviour, to build good working relationships, and to identify and assess risk. • Experience of maximising income through dealing with housing benefit and welfare ..... full job details .....
