About the Role
A Support Worker is required for a temporary 5-month contract based in Truro, offering £15.34 per hour for 37 hours per week. This role involves supporting vulnerable adults and families within a community-focused service. Key responsibilities include delivering person-centred support, conducting risk assessments, and managing challenging situations. The post holder will maintain accurate records and case notes, working both independently and as part of a team. Applicants must possess a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as there is an expectation to cover additional schemes across Cornwall. This position requires proven skills in support planning and lone working.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a dedicated Adults and Families service based in Truro. This is a rewarding opportunity supporting vulnerable adults within a community-focused environment.
Please note there will be an expectation to cover additional schemes across Cornwall, therefore applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
The Role
- Supporting individuals with a variety of support needs
- Delivering person-centred support and support planning
- Risk assessing and managing challenging situations
- Maintaining accurate records and case notes
- Lone working as well as working collaboratively within a team
- Building positive relationships with service users and partner agencies
Requirements
- Experience within support work, housing support, social care or similar settings
- Understanding of support planning and risk management
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills
- Confident using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
- Resilient, adaptable and able to work under pressure
- Flexible approach to shifts including lates, weekends and bank holidays
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Additional Information
- Rolling 5-week rota pattern
- Enhanced DBS required
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract
- This role is not eligible for sponsorship/CoS
