Support Worker - Supported housing

Hays are recruiting for a client who is committed to providing assistance to their vulnerable tenants and people living in the communities who need support to live well and independently. They provide specialist housing, care and support to people who are socially excluded, homeless, mental health and substance misuse.

Your new role

We are looking for a motivated, flexible and committed individual to work at our flagship scheme with complex needs. This service supports 95 customers with 24-hour help at hand to develop their build the skills and confidence to move towards independent living. Engaging the customers in social and community interaction to be able to move on and live independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting clients within supported housing services
• Completing clear and concise reports and care plans which will be utilised in further meetings
• Supporting customers through sessions in evidence-based parenting programmes.
• Facilitating and encouraging effective customer participation, consultation and feedback within the service.
• Promoting Social Inclusion
• Supporting customers has a range of day-to-day activities.

What you''ll need to succeed

• Experience and knowledge of safeguarding legislation.
• Experience of working within a supported living environment.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills with a good standard of English-such as Microsoft Office and Word.
