Support Worker

We are recruiting for experienced support workers in dementia, autism, learning disabilities and mental health on behalf of our client who operates Young Adults and Adults Residential homes across the UK. These positions for Support Worker are temporary and provide you with the flexibility to work full-time, part-time and ad-hoc hours over a 7 day working week.

The care home is a friendly, person-centred residential care home that is committed to delivering high quality care and support to its residents and we are looking for compassionate and reliable support workers who can play a vital role in supporting residents with their day-to-day needs, promoting independence, dignity and well-being.

You will assist with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing and mobility, supporting with meals and hydration as and when necessary and build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues. Other aspects of the role are to encourage participation in activities and social engagement, maintain accurate care records and follow care plans. Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

For this role of support worker you will have had previous experience in a care home, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently. You will need to be reliable, flexible and committed to high standards of care with basic IT skils for recording information.
With preferably a Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent would be desirable it is not essential, but you will need to have had previous experience in a similar role.
