Support Worker - Linsell house - Adult Social Care

This will include offering support in all areas of personal care, including developing and maintaining daily life skills and interactions. We will help develop your skills and knowledge during your first few months in a number of areas, including the administration of medication and supporting the management team to facilitate the running of different areas of the services. You may be required to support Residential Workers with key working responsibilities and attend some meetings or appointment with some residents. ResponsibilitiesSupport in personal care and daily living skills; assist with medication administration and help the management team facilitate the running of different areas of the services. May be required to support Residential Workers with key working responsibilities and attend meetings or appointments with residents. Shift work to cover 24/7 care (days, nights, evenings and weekends). Support holidays/outings and day trips as needed. Contribute to delivering a caring and safe environment for residents who live at Linsell House.
Qualifications
Experience in working with people with disabilities in a relevant setting.
Ability to write reports and use initiative; able to think on your feet.
Adaptable, flexible and people-focused; able to build professional relationships.
Good communication and listening skills.
Desirable Criteria (not essential)
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (England) qualified or working towards
NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care would be great
Excellent organisational skills
Recognises cultural diversity
Good team player; track record of showing initiative and sharing ideas
Accurate record keeper; sound knowledge of disability
Takes accountability for own training and continual professional development
Ability to work within a 24/7 operation
