Support Worker

Support and contribute towards the planning and delivery of individual care, supporting in all aspects of daily living, as our client has physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities and is wheelchair dependent. Work with a treatment team of therapists (SALT, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist) to complete therapy programmes, motivate and engage the client in recreational and educational activities. Experience in delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided. Experience of working with young adults with physical and cognitive impairment is essential. The position is suited to someone who has a positive attitude plus the ability to motivate and engage. The young man is a music enthusiast, loves comedy and likes to go out for food. Someone with a musical interest would be preferable but not essential. A current driving license is essential. Experience of driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle is preferrable.
