Support Worker - Housing and Homelessness (Sanctuary Emergency Accommodation)Salary: £26,000 p.a. FTEFull-time (40hrs/week) or part-time (32hrs/week) with a 30 min paid lunch break. This includes some weekend shifts. You will also be rostered to work on bank holidays.Closing date: 9am on 25th April 2025Interview dates: tbcBenefits: Employees are eligible for Medicash (a non-contractual benefit), 33 days paid holiday (full-time equivalent), access to Cyclescheme (for discounted bikes and accessories), and a long service award (after five years).Our client''s Emergency Accommodation offers short-term accommodation (23 bedrooms), as well as support, meals and laundry facilities. Staff work with other services to provide a tailored package for each person while helping them towards moving into longer-term accommodation.What sort of person are they looking for? A person who has a desire to help people who are experiencing homelessness. You may already have knowledge and understanding of homelessness, maybe through a previous job, as a volunteer, or through your own lived experience. You will be the sort of person who sees people experiencing rough sleeping, sofa surfing eviction or living in temporary accommodation as a person, not just as rough sleepers or service users .You will be self-aware, compassionate, non-judgemental, and have a strong degree of emotional intelligence.
