Support Worker Full Time

Key Responsibilities and Duties Independent Living Support: Assisting with cooking, cleaning, and managing finances. Personal Care: Assisting with personal hygiene, including showering, bathing, and using the bathroom. Community Participation: Accompanying individuals to appointments, social events, and community activities. Emotional Support: Building trusting relationships, providing companionship, and fostering independence. Health and Medication: Prompting or assisting with medication management. Record Keeping: Updating care plans and daily notes accurately Required Skills and Qualifications Attributes: Patient, caring, flexible, and reliable. Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills. Experience: Previous care experience is often beneficial but not always required; many roles provide training (e.g., Care Certificate). Compliance: Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Typical Working Environment Support workers work in residential care homes, supported living settings, or in the individual''s own home. Hours often involve shift work, including weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
