We''re Hiring: Day Support Worker – Extra Care Support (Walton-on-Thames)

Location: Walton-on-Thames
Facility: Extra Care Scheme supporting 55 independent elderly residents
Hours: 7:00am – 7:15pm, 3 shifts per week (8-week rolling rota)
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people? We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Day Support Worker to join our dedicated team in a welcoming extra care facility.

About the Role:
As a Day Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping our residents maintain their independence in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out regular welfare checks
• Providing friendly companionship and emotional support
• Encouraging and facilitating independent living
• Organising and supporting social activities to promote engagement and wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with Housing, Property, and Community teams to ensure holistic support

What We’re Looking For:

• A kind and approachable personality
• Good communication skills
• A genuine interest in the wellbeing of elderly people
• Previous experience in a care or support setting (preferred but not essential)
