Support Worker

County Carers are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to work with a male brain injury client 3 days a week Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.

You will be required to start ideally Friday 29th handing over from the support worker who-is leaving.

Required:

• English as a first language, with clear speech.
• Experience and sensitivity in supporting individuals with cognitive communication changes.
• An understanding of how best to support both the client and his wife
• A conscientious driver
• Ability to supervise the client in the gym

Additional requirments :

• Assistance with small DIY and maintenance tasks, such as changing the outside tap or sorting the loft.
• Help with discreet laundry arrangements-
• Support with physical tasks such as tip runs, shopping, sanding and painting, gardening, and gym/physio sessions
• Being approachable if concerns arise
• Comfort with cooking (ideally a meat eater)
• Ability to make a positive first impression with the client and his wife-

This position is self employed paying -16ph in the week and -20per hour at the weekends.
