Specialist Support Worker - Learning Disabilities & Autism
Location: East Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary (3 months)
Salary:15.75 per hour
Hours: 10:00 - 18:00, flexible patterns including weekends
The Role
Join our client''s established care team supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in a complex needs environment. You''ll provide person-centred care, develop support plans, and help service users achieve greater independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised care and support
- Medication management and personal care
- Community participation and social inclusion
- Mentor team members on Positive Behaviour Support
- Act as shift leader when required
Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ 2/3 Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Experience with learning disabilities/autism
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible approach to shift patterns
- DBS clearable
Desirable:
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Crisis intervention experience
- Team leadership skills
