Specialist Support Worker - Learning Disabilities & Autism

Location: East Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary (3 months)
Salary:15.75 per hour
Hours: 10:00 - 18:00, flexible patterns including weekends

The Role

Join our client''s established care team supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in a complex needs environment. You''ll provide person-centred care, develop support plans, and help service users achieve greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalised care and support
• Medication management and personal care
• Community participation and social inclusion
• Mentor team members on Positive Behaviour Support
• Act as shift leader when required

Requirements

Essential:

• NVQ 2/3 Health & Social Care (or working towards)
• Experience with learning disabilities/autism
• Strong communication skills
• Flexible approach to shift patterns
• DBS clearable

Desirable:

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
• Crisis intervention experience
• Team leadership skills
