Overview

For over 20 years ROC Northwest has held an enviable reputation for offering high quality residential care and education for children and young people who have lived with adverse childhood experiences and may also experience conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) and complex needs. We are looking to recruit positive and caring people to support the children and young people in our residential homes where we encourage a truly family feel environment.Responsibilities

Support children in all aspects of their daily lives, help develop and maintain relationships with friends and family, encourage activity in the community by attending events and social activities, boost confidence and independence, and develop the relationship with them so you can make a difference.Safeguarding: monitor and report any suspicion or evidence of harm, ensuring care plans are followed and updated.Undertake activities with children such as watching films, reading, crafts, outings, games, or walks, and contribute to other fun activities as ideas arise.When the children are not in the home, undertake basic housekeeping duties as required.Work in a genuine family-led, fun and love-led home environment; bring enthusiasm and be willing to join in.Requirements / Qualifications

Experience in a similar role or personal life experience is helpful; more important is a genuine desire to help and get involved.Desire to put others first and take pride in daily achievements.A Children’s Residential Level 3 qualification is desirable and offers the higher rate but is not essential.A manual UK Driving Licence is required to use company vehicles (not automatic); you do not need a car.Flexibility to work day shifts (e.g., 8am to 10pm) and sleep-ins (10pm to 7am), meaning you may be away from home for a few days at a time.Rotating shifts that occasionally fall on weekends.What we offer

Starting rate of £12.36 to £12.78 per hour depending on qualifications and location.£78.30 for every sleep-in; full-time staff can expect up to 8 sleep-ins per month, potentially over £7,500 a year.Comprehensive training including a two-week paid induction, followed by shadow shifts with a senior staff member.Funding a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in Children''s Residential Care (worth around £3,000), which will result in a higher hourly rate.£500 Welcome Bonus after probation period.£1,000 Refer A Friend scheme if you introduce someone who joins our team.Option to complete hours over fewer days, giving more days off per week.Free onsite parking and free meals on shift.Career development to Team Leader, Deputy Manager and potentially Registered Manager.Company pension scheme and staff recognition awards.Free Enhanced DBS check.Values
