Support Worker - Children's Residential (EBD)

We''re recruiting on behalf of a client for caring, resilient, and committed Support Workers to join a dedicated team in an Ofsted-registered residential home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The Role:
Working closely with the Senior Residential Care Worker and wider team, you''ll provide high-quality care that promotes the health, welfare, education, and development of the young people in your home. Your responsibilities will include:
·Creating a safe, warm, and homely atmosphere.
·Supporting daily routines, from household tasks to school work, appointments, and leisure activities.
·Building positive relationships and acting as a consistent and trusted role model.
·Contributing to care plans and supporting individual needs as a key worker.
·Using de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive outcomes.
·Collaborating with parents, social workers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible support.
Hours:
You''ll work a rolling rota of two days on (7:00am-11:00pm, including shared sleep-ins) followed by four days off.
What We''re Looking For:
·Experience working with young people (residential care experience is an advantage).
·Understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties and a commitment to helping young people achieve their potential.
·Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries.
·A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people to thrive.
·Full UK driving licence (essential).
Qualifications:
·QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
