Support Worker LOCATION: Newquay HOURS: 22.5 hours per week WORKING PATTERN: 3 x 7.5-hour shifts, Monday Sunday, between 8am and 9pm SALARY: £15.34 per hour PAYE DURATION: 2 months Are you passionate about supporting people and making a real difference in their lives? We are looking for a Support Worker to join our team at our supported living service in in Newquay, supporting customers who may experience challenging behaviour associated with mental ill health and alcohol and substance misuse. This is a rewarding role where you will provide person-centred support, build positive relationships and help customers work towards greater stability and independence. You will need to be compassionate, resilient and confident when working in challenging situations, while always maintaining a professional and positive approach. About the role: Provide person-centred support to customers experiencing mental ill health and/or alcohol and substance misuse. Support customers who may display challenging behaviour, maintaining a calm, professional and positive approach. Build trusting and respectful relationships with customers. Support customers with their individual needs, goals and support plans. Contribute to risk assessments and effective risk management. Promote independence, dignity, wellbeing and positive outcomes for customers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and support documentation.
