Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Worker to join our client in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.

Job Role:

We’re looking for compassionate Support Workers to help people live fulfilling lives. You’ll support individuals to achieve personal goals, develop life skills, and enjoy activities tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities of a Support Worker:

• Support individuals with personal care, medication, appointments, and health needs.
• Promote safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour, following safeguarding policies.
• Encourage community participation, social connections, and inclusion.
• Maintain accurate records including care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports.
• Assist new team members and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Support a clean, safe, and positive living environment.
• Be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of those you support.

Working hours for Support worker: Various Shifts Available.

Requirements of a Support Worker:

• Understanding of safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
• Commitment to person-centred care and promoting independence.
• Willingness to complete training, including the Care Certificate within 6 months.
• Experience in a care/support role.
• Level 2 Adult Care qualification or equivalent
• BSL Level 1 for deaf services 
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
