Support Worker (Autism & Learning Disabilities)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children’s Support Worker to work for our client based in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Role Purpose:

The role is to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people (0–18 years) with Autism and Learning Disabilities, helping them develop independence, confidence, and life skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care and support with daily routines, personal care, and activities

• Support communication and behaviour needs using appropriate strategies

• Promote inclusion, independence, and choice

• Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals

• Ensure safeguarding, health, and wellbeing at all times

Working Hours: 10am - 2pm ( Variosu shifts available, however we are looking for someone who can work on the weekends) 

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children/young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or complex needs

• Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills

• Willingness to work flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends)

• Enhanced DBS on the update service 

• Right to work in the UK

• Full UK driving licence

• Relevant training or qualifications (e.g. Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, First Aid, PBS)
