Support Worker

Airmid are now recruiting for reliable compassionate- Support Workers in the Portsmouth area, for work supporting clients in Residential Settings in Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care
• Be proactive with managing behaviour & de-escalation
• Ability to communicate clearly & effectively through verbal & written means.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a small team
• Must be able to maintain a high level of care
• Must be trained in Safety Intervention, PMVA, PBS or Control & restraint
• Experienced in working with Learning Disabilities & ASD
• Buccal Training & PEG Training would also be beneficial although not essential

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK

• 6+ months of personal care experience-(hospital, nursing home, or home care)

• DBS on update service-or willingness to obtain one

• Basic Life Support & Moving/Handling training

• Two professional references
