Support Time Recovery (STR) Worker
6 x Vacancies Available We are looking for six client-focused Support Time Recovery Workers to join our new Wigan Crisis Space service, supporting local residents experiencing emotional distress and mental health challenges. Wigan Crisis Space is a new service providing a safe space for those in distress and struggling with unwanted thoughts and feelings. Looking to improve mental health and wellbeing, we connect individuals to a range of services to reduce low mood, anxiety and loneliness, develop new skills and ensure their voice is heard. Our STR Workers provide low-level calming interventions and one-to-one support to help people identify the causes of their emotional distress and put in place a support plan that includes signposting and referrals to other appropriate organisations and services. The ideal candidates will have an awareness of mental health conditions, experience of building strong relationships with people and excellent listening skills. The ability to develop trust with those accessing the service is key to supporting them to achieve their recovery goals and desired outcomes.
