Supply Teaching Assistant – Various Mainstream Primary Schools – Bournemouth

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and ready to take on a flexible teaching assistant role in mainstream primary schools?
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to join various primary schools across Bournemouth starting September 2025.
In this role, you will provide 1:1 and general teaching assistant support, working closely with teaching staff to help pupils engage with their learning and develop their skills. We welcome candidates with previous experience in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings. Longer term and permanent opportunities are also available.
Responsibilities of a Supply Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment
- Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Prepare and organise classroom resources as needed
- Help monitor pupil progress and wellbeing
- Collaborate effectively with school staff and follow school policies
Supply Teaching Assistant (Supply TA) Requirements:
- Previous experience working in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
