Role Highlights for a Supply Teacher

• Position: Supply Teacher.
• Pay: -150220 per day, depending on experience and assignment.
• Location: Waltham Forest, London.
• Start: ASAP, following registration and safeguarding checks.
• Working pattern: Flexible daily and short-term supply.

Your Role as a Supply Teacher

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver purposeful lessons during teacher absence, helping pupils continue learning within the school''s established routines.

• Deliver prepared lessons and adapt explanations or resources to help pupils understand the work.
• Set clear expectations, follow the behaviour policy and work effectively with classroom support staff.
• Check learning throughout the day and provide useful feedback on progress and work completed.
• Complete planning and assessment appropriate to the booking, with longer-term responsibilities agreed beforehand.

What We Are Looking For in a Supply Teacher

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with primary classroom experience.
• A confident Supply Teacher who can settle quickly into new schools and organise the teaching day.
• Sound primary curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management and safeguarding awareness.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, alongside satisfactory safeguarding checks.
