Supply Teacher – Mainstream Primary Schools – Poole

Are you a passionate and adaptable teacher looking to inspire young minds across a variety of welcoming primary schools?
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work in mainstream primary settings across Poole starting from September 2025. We welcome applications from Early Careers Teachers as well as experienced educators who want the flexibility of supply teaching while still making a positive impact on pupils’ learning. Longer term and permanent opportunities are also available.
In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons, adapt to different school environments, and support pupils’ learning and development. You will be instrumental in maintaining continuity in education, ensuring every child feels supported, motivated, and encouraged to achieve their best.
Responsibilities of a Supply Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the primary curriculum
- Adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of different classes and year groups
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage pupil behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Support pupils’ academic and social development
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a smooth learning experience
- Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold the school’s ethos
- Provide feedback to staff on pupil progress and engagement
Supply Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent
- Experience teaching within primary school settings
- Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to teaching
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
