Overview

Bridge the student–employer gap and empower students’ futures. EKC Group seeks a Supply Industry Liaison Officer to join the Group, initially supporting Canterbury College Engineering Department.As an Industry Liaison Officer, you will secure and monitor the progress of work placements in varied vocational areas for students and act as the main contact for employer relations. This includes supporting the planning and delivery of employer events and organising employer visits for students.If you have experience in the engineering industry, this would be beneficial but is not a requirement.Your role includes ensuring employers return the required documentation in a timely fashion following college guidelines and national expectations. You will work with students on one-to-one and small group basis to identify employability skills gaps and support development so they can complete a successful industry placement.Please note this is a supply role that does not guarantee a set number of hours per week; however we are seeking initial support up to 37 hours per week.

About You

We are seeking to appoint an Industry Liaison Officer who has excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills. You will be highly organised, able to prioritise work, and apply a flexible and responsive approach to work demands. You will have an inquisitive and analytical approach, attention to detail, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject is desirable; alternatively, experience in a relevant sector will be considered.If you have experience in this field and a passion for sharing your knowledge and expertise with the future generation, this position will be ideal for you.
