We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Team Leader - Assemblies to join our Burnley site. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the end-to-end Supply Chain process across Assembly production lines, ensuring customer commitments are achieved while driving operational excellence, on-time delivery, inventory optimisation and continuous improvement.
Working within a complex manufacturing environment, you will lead planning and control activities, coordinate internal and external supply chain stakeholders, and develop robust production plans that support our business objectives.

Role Overview
As the Supply Chain Team Leader, you will be accountable for the overall Supply Chain process across designated Assembly lines. This includes ownership of Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Planning & Control processes, inventory management, logistics coordination, supplier performance and production scheduling.
You will work closely with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Industrial Programme Management and Manufacturing teams to ensure customer demand is delivered efficiently while balancing inventory, capacity, cost and operational risk.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capability, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Control Management
- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in line with agreed production requirements.
- Carry out Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), monitoring critical resources and bottlenecks whilst implementing mitigation plans.
- Lead weekly MPS reviews, analysing performance and adjusting schedules where necessary.
- Establish and maintain detailed production schedules for Assembly lines.
- Ensure production plans remain aligned to operational demand and customer commitments.
- Adapt schedules to balance load and capacity requirements during periods of overload.
- Interface with Industrial Programme Managers to manage short-term demand changes.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) validation processes.
- Develop inventory forecasts for the short and medium term.
- Define stock buffers and maintain accountability for inventory accuracy and associated costs.
- Coordinate external supply chain activities and develop mitigation plans addressing delivery, financial and supply risks.
- Manage critical part availability alongside internal and external planning teams.
- Ensure supply chain activities support customer delivery commitments.
Performance Management
- Measure and analyse Supply Chain performance using established MRPII metrics.
- Produce and present weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Analyse root causes of performance gaps, including MPS adherence and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
- Develop and implement corrective action and recovery plans with operational stakeholders.
- Ensure Assembly lines maintain MRPII Class One planning and control standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure process improvements are effectively reflected within planning systems and ERP tools.
- Drive supply chain efficiency, productivity and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain configuration management standards, ensuring Bills of Materials (BOMs), classifications and ERP data remain accurate.
- Promote best practices and standardised planning processes across the organisation.
Leadership
- Lead, develop and support Supply Chain team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide coaching, guidance and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
