UK Head Office – Manchester/ PERMANENT/ SALARY: COMPETITIVEJob Purpose
Provide support to the Supply Chain Team, ensuring we have adequate levels of stock to fulfil the needs and growth of the businessKey Responsibilities
Raise Purchase Orders on Sage 200 and send to suppliersAmend, cancel and defer Purchase Orders where required based on stock levelsLiaise with suppliers to ensure orders are shipped correctly and on timeUpdate supply plans with sales, inventory and shipping informationWork collaboratively with the Demand Planner to identify stock issues and adjust the demand forecast where required (i.e. products selling under and over forecast)Input the demand forecast into supply plans and plan orders to ensure that stock holding, and stock availability are at the desired levelsActively work to reduce stock issues by transferring stock, derogating short shelf-life stock and carrying out repacks where requiredCommunicate effectively with Sales and Customer Services to ensure customers are made aware of any stock issuesAttend Stage Gate meetings for NPD projects and delistsCover holidays for other members of the planning team as required3PL ManagementSend ASNs (advanced shipping notifications) to warehousesLiaise with 3PLs to ensure that deliveries are booked in accurately and on timeInvestigate stock discrepancies on Goods Received NotesArrange transfers between warehousesData Reporting and IntegrityBi-Weekly Supply Chain reportingDaily ‘Out of Stock’ reportingDaily update of UK/EU Shipping ScheduleSlow Moving Stock reportsStage Gate Projects data collation and data entry into Perfion (Project Information System).Supply Chain KPI data collationReport any non-conformancesAny other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of this role.Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Technical – proficient use of Microsoft applications – Excel, Outlook and WordStrong analytical and numerical skills – ability to interpret and understand complicated information and systemsCommunication skills – ability to clearly and concisely communicate with suppliers and key stakeholders within the business (often with conflicting priorities)Ability to use initiative/make independent decisions – i.e. reviewing the feasibility of new customer launchesSolution driven/logical problem solver – i.e. dealing with issues in a new market that may have not arisen beforeWork Experience – 5+ years relevant experience of working in a FMCG Supply Chain Planning roleSystems – Sage 200 and Relex or similar planning software tools.Documentation – experience of dealing with shipping documentation and import proceduresIs this role for you?
