Supply Chain Manager - Strategy

Our client BAE Systems is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager - Strategy to join their dynamic team in the Defence and Security sector, operating out of Barrow-in-Furness. This is a 6 month contract role, requiring 1-2 days onsite per week.Key Responsibilities:Effectively managing categories, specifically electrical systems and equipmentInterfacing with internal customers to ensure smooth operationsProviding leadership and coaching to 1 or 2 direct reportsImplementing change management and continuous improvement initiativesInfluencing stakeholders through effective negotiation and communicationSupporting multiple build lines and managing major equipment design and developmentJob Requirements:Experience in supply chain management, particularly within electrical systems and equipmentUnderstanding of the Defence, Aerospace, Construction, Major Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, or Nuclear sectorsProficient in managing and coaching team membersExperience with change management and continuous improvement strategiesStrong stakeholder negotiation and influencing skillsCIPS or APM qualifications are desirable but not essentialAdditional Information:You will work across three major projects, contributing to a decades-long order book into the 2050sThe team is relatively new and evolving, providing a dynamic work environmentIf you are an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strategic mindset and strong experience in the Defence and Security sector, we would like to hear from you. ..... full job details .....
