Supply Chain & Export Administration Team Leader

Overview

Role purpose:The Administration Team Leader is responsible for leading, managing, and motivating the warehouse and export administration team within the warehouse administration function. This includes setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback to ensure optimum performance. Working closely with the Central Operations Team to ensure that all orders are processed on time, first time, every time. This involves coordinating with various departments to streamline operations. The role will be the central point for escalations on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that the team understand the priorities for the day. They will work closely with warehouse, configuration, and distribution teams to streamline operations. This includes scheduling and overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery. Due to the size of the team, this role is a blend of processing and managing team members.Key responsibilities

Managing a Small Team: Overseeing a small team of administration staff in the warehouse operations team, including line management and performance management. Management of queues, forecast of capacity in the team, output from team.Handling Escalations and Queries: Liaising with internal coordination teams, Project Managers, and sales branches around escalations and queries.Order Processing: Working alongside the Central Operations Teams to ensure all orders are processed according to schedule deadlines. Ensure pick labels are dropped to the floor and carrier notes are allocated throughout the day in a timely manner. Ensure the requests for consignment details and POD''s are carried out. Any orders where a consignment number cannot be found needs to be investigated using a query order check list.Supporting Other Departments: Assisting other departments within the Operations structure as needed.Liaising with Couriers: Coordinating with couriers on orders that have specialist customer requirements or site restrictions.Managing Complex Orders: Ensuring complex orders reach the customer with all necessary adjustments prior to dispatch.Coaching Team Members: Helping team members improve their skills and performance through coaching and feedback.Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving issues that arise within the team.Allocating Resources: Managing and allocating resources effectively to ensure successful delivery of all SCC orders.Exports: Ensure team members are proficient with export processes and requirements to execute and despatch orders outside of the UK.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills required to effectively liaise with couriers, internal teams, and stakeholders.Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills to ensure timely creation of purchase orders and handling of complex orders.Problem-Solving: The ability to address and resolve escalations and queries effectively.Customer Service: High standard of customer service skills to ensure orders meet customer requirements and site restrictions.Attention to Detail: Ensuring all orders are processed accurately and complex orders are adjusted prior to dispatch.Security Clearance: Must have or willingness to applyLeadership: Proven leadership ability and/or office management skills to motivate and coordinate team members and activities.Export
