So what''s your next change?As a Supply Chain and Quality Manager you will form close working relationships with Airbus Engineering, Programme Management, Quality, FAL customers and sub-assembly fit-sites, as well as forming a close and professional working relationship with our suppliers. Airbus Procurement Operations is a dynamic, fast changing and exciting area of Airbus. It is often faced with many challenges in ensuring the production and delivery of aircraft is maintained on time and to the highest level of quality. Our department (PIEL) manages approximately 50 suppliers worldwide, delivering landing gear, fuel and inerting systems for installation on all Airbus commercial aircraft, and some fuel equipment installed on the A400M aircraft. The successful candidate will be accountable for the industrial maturity of a group of fuel system suppliers, enabling quick and strong growth in terms of leadership skills, stakeholder management and product knowledge. The main tasks and responsibilities of a Supply Chain and Quality Manager are:

Responsibilities

Act as focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and as ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions.

Assess suppliers during the tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision.

Manage supply chain and quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance.

Manage supplier quality Approval/Authorization, ensure that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

English language at negotiation level, other languages would be an advantage

Problem solving skills

Project and stakeholder management

Experience in either engineering, procurement operations, manufacturing, production and quality backgrounds

Qualifications

Degree level qualification is desirable, but not essential
