Rapier Employment are recruiting for a Supply Chain Analyst (Packaging & Logistics) to join a busy logistics operation supporting a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Solihull.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and motivated individual who is looking to develop a career within supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or continuous improvement. Full training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with relevant experience who are keen to learn and progress.
Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you will play a key role in ensuring packaging availability, supporting production requirements, resolving supply chain challenges and identifying opportunities to improve operational performance.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 07:45am to 4:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 3:00pm
- 30-minute paid break
- Fully site-based role, 5 days per week
This is a varied position combining data analysis, problem-solving, stakeholder management and operational support. You will work closely with suppliers, freight providers, operational teams and internal stakeholders to ensure packaging requirements are met and production is not adversely affected.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing packaging-related queries and operational issues
- Investigating packaging shortages, defects and supplier concerns
- Analysing logistics and packaging data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Maintaining accurate information across internal systems
- Supporting continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Working collaboratively with suppliers, freight providers and operational teams
- Monitoring packaging performance and availability
- Supporting business projects and operational improvement activities
- Producing reports and data-driven recommendations
- Escalating risks and helping implement corrective actions
- Conducting visual quality inspections and operational investigations on site
Candidate Requirements
We are interested in hearing from candidates with experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, production, operations, planning or analytical roles.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience within a logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or production environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- A positive and proactive attitude
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong customer service skills
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist area
