Supply Chain Administrator

We have an opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Administrator to work for our global client based in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire. The Supply Chain Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of purchase orders, freight, and documentation. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal teams and external partners.

This role is a temporary contract position initially for 3 months with the possibility of the role becoming longer-term or permanent for the right candidate. You will be required to work full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) and our client offers hybrid working (1-2 days onsite and the rest working remotely from home). The role offers a generous hourly rate of -16.21 -27.54 per hour depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday pro rata.

Duties include:

Purchase Order Management

  • Access and update POs in Atlas for stock distribution.
  • Download cockpit POs for visibility and confirm quantities with internal stakeholders.

End-to-End Freight Coordination

  • Manage freight activities from booking to delivery, ensuring compliance with timelines and requirements.
  • Communicate with forwarders for quotes, vessel collection, sailing schedules, and ETA.

Freight Documentation Preparation

  • Create packing lists and commercial invoices using Excel templates.
  • Prepare compliance documents including Country of Origin certificates and declarations.
  • Send pro forma invoices and delivery notes created in SAP to ComOps.

Shipment Tracking & Updates

  • Monitor deliveries, track shipments, and update production order sheets.
  • Update ComOps cockpit with quantity changes, delays, and stock availability.
  • Keep ComOps informed of shipment ETAs.

Internal Communication & Support

  • Liaise with UK and Rhiem warehouses and internal teams regarding shipment readiness.
  • Support local warehouses with inbound stock queries.
  • Provide ad hoc updates to the commercial team and assist manufacturing with reporting and inventory updates.

Documentation Management & Analytics Support

  • Maintain accurate records and file delivery notes in Teams under shipment numbers.
  • Provide data to support upstream reporting and analytics.

Other Administrative Duties

  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as required.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of freight operations and inventory management.
  • Experience using SAP Atlas for deliveries and stock allocation.
  • Strong analytical skills and process-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
