Supplier Quality Engineer

A leading engineering company with a strong reputation for innovation, technical excellence and advanced engineering solutions has a new vacancy for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the team. A highly successful division operating separately from other global operations, this is a newly created position and will play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality and performance of the supply chain. You will be responsible for managing supplier quality performance, ensuring that purchased components, materials and services meet expectations and supporting the development of the supply chain. Candidates are sought with proven supplier development experience and a good understanding of aerospace standards. The Role Manage and develop supplier quality performance in line with company requirements and objectives. Conduct supplier audits, assessments and capability reviews. Support the qualification and approval of new suppliers. Lead supplier quality improvement and corrective action activities. Investigate supplier-related non-conformances and drive root cause analysis and effective corrective actions. Review supplier processes and ensure appropriate control plans and inspection standards are in place. Support PPAP activities in accordance to AS9145. Work collaboratively with Procurement and Engineering. Ensure suppliers comply with relevant quality standards, specifications and customer requirements.
