A Snapshot Of Your DayAs a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) supporting our Small Gas Turbines (SGT) business, your day will revolve around engaging with global suppliers to ensure component and process quality across the supply chain. You''ll manage product qualifications, lead investigations into non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Internally, you''ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold Siemens Energy''s quality standards. Your ability to build strong supplier relationships and drive results will be key to your success.How You''ll Make An Impact
Lead product and process qualifications (PPQ) and fixed process change approvals in line with Siemens Energy procedures.Collaborate with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and implement effective containment and corrective actions.Drive supplier quality improvements through performance monitoring, risk mitigation, and preventive actions.Conduct supplier assessments and audits, supporting qualification activities and compliance with Siemens Energy quality standards.Utilise root cause analysis techniques (5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA) to manage and close out supplier quality issues.Monitor and report supplier performance KPIs, raising and managing risks as required.Act as a key interface between suppliers and Siemens Energy, promoting long-term quality improvement.What You Bring
A solid engineering background, time-served or degree-qualified, with demonstrable experience in manufacturing, quality, or RandD.Proven experience managing product qualifications (e.g. PPAP, APQP) and resolving supplier quality issues.Strong understanding of inspection methodologies, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDandT), and quality documentation.Proficiency in quality tools and systems such as ISO 9001, FMEA, 8D, and supplier audits.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultural boundaries and at all levels of the organisation.Excellent IT and data analysis skills (e.g. Excel, data interpretation).Willingness to travel as required to support suppliers and internal stakeholders.About The TeamOur Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonisation.
