Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a global organisation operating across the automotive and aerospace sectors, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support the onboarding, qualification and ongoing development of European suppliers. This is a two-year fixed-term opportunity based in Aldershot with an option to go permanent, with hybrid working typically involving two days onsite and the remainder remotely. The role includes regular travel to suppliers across Europe, usually one to two trips per month.Key Responsibilities:Supporting supplier onboarding through documentation reviews, process mapping and initial risk assessmentsContributing to supplier qualification activities, including remote and onsite audits, PPAP reviews and capability assessmentsMonitoring supplier performance against PPM, delivery targets and audit findingsEscalating supplier risks and contributing to supplier development plansDriving corrective and preventive actions with suppliers and internal stakeholdersSupporting customer complaint handling and the resolution of quality issuesFacilitating structured problem-solving activity using 8D, root cause analysis and corrective actionsTracking quality issues through to closure and maintaining effective supplier relationshipsJob Requirements:Proven experience in supplier quality, supplier development or supplier quality assurancePractical experience of supplier audits, performance management and continuous improvementConfidence to challenge suppliers, uphold quality standards ..... full job details .....
