Job Title: Supplier Quality EngineerSalary: Up to £60,000 + Car AllowanceLocation: Bristol (Hinkley Point C)Job Type: Full-time, 38 hours/weekWorking Pattern: 5 Days a week / 9 days fortnightlyWork type: Full-time (with travel to supplier sites and hybrid working as needed)Join a once-in-a-generation infrastructure project that\''s powering the UK\''s Net Zero future. We\''re looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure that products and services delivered by the supply chain meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.Responsibilities
Act as a key liaison between the project and its suppliers, managing quality performance across the supply chainSupport supplier qualification, audit, and improvement activitiesPromote a strong nuclear safety culture and ensure adherence to project requirementsReview and monitor Contract Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and End of Manufacturing Reports (EoMRs)Facilitate manufacturing kick-off meetings and source inspection activitiesInvestigate non-conformances, lead root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actionsCollaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure supplier process capabilityUse a risk-based, data-driven approach to mitigate risks and drive continuous improvementQualifications
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification with strong audit experienceDegree or minimum 3 years\'' experience in Quality or Supplier Quality within a regulated industrySolid understanding of manufacturing and inspection processes (e.g. fabrication, coating, NDT)Proficiency in quality tools such as root cause analysis, 8D, and continuous improvement methodsAbility to manage a diverse workload and collaborate across functionsMembership of CQI, IRCA, ASQ CQE, or equivalent is desirableExperience in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated environments is a plusWhy This Role?
