Earthworks Supervisor - Birmingham - £24.67 per hour PAYE
VGC Group are looking for an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to start on a major project in Birmingham. This contract is available to start ASAP and we can offer up to 2 years'' work to a successful candidate.

Experience: 2 years+
Qualifications: Gold NVQ Level 3 Supervisor Card, SSSTS, First Aid, CPCS Preferred
Essential: Must have a strong understanding of Earthworks operations and Heavy Earthmoving Plant, including excavators, dumpers, dozers, rollers and grading equipment.

Earthworks Supervisor Experience
Your role as an Earthworks Supervisor will be based in Birmingham and will consist of:
- Supervising day-to-day earthworks activities and ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Leading and coordinating teams of operatives, subcontractors and plant operators.
- Managing and monitoring heavy earthmoving plant operations including excavators, dumpers, dozers, rollers and associated equipment.
- Ensuring all earthworks activities are delivered in line with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements.
- Conducting regular team briefings, toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Carrying out site inspections and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Implementing and maintaining safe systems of work, RAMS and environmental controls.
- Managing resources effectively, including labour, plant and materials.
- Monitoring productivity and progress against programme targets.
- Maintaining accurate records including permits, inspections, daily reports and timesheets.
- Liaising with Site Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Identifying and resolving on-site issues relating to ground conditions, earthworks activities and plant operations.
- Following all safety protocols and ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
- Reporting incidents, near misses and safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Based in Birmingham, remuneration for this role is £24.67 per hour PAYE, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
