Supervisor / Ganger

VGC Group are currently recruiting for a Supervisor / Ganger to join our clients team on their new project in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working individual looking for work. Pay Rate: £21.40 per hour PAYE Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-5pm Start Date: ASAP Lodge and Travel is not available for this role Duties and Responsibilities: - Supervising day-to-day earthworks activities and ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently. - Leading and coordinating teams of operatives, subcontractors and plant operators. - Managing and monitoring heavy earthmoving plant operations including excavators, dumpers, dozers, rollers and associated equipment. - Ensuring all earthworks activities are delivered in line with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements. - Conducting regular team briefings, toolbox talks and safety meetings. - Carrying out site inspections and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation. - Implementing and maintaining safe systems of work, RAMS and environmental controls. - Managing resources effectively, including labour, plant and materials. - Monitoring productivity and progress against programme targets. - Maintaining accurate records including permits, inspections, daily reports and timesheets. - Liaising with Site Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. - Identifying and resolving on-site issues relating to ground conditions, ..... full job details .....
