Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate drainage installation and maintenance projects on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Manage and lead a team of drainage operatives, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise productivity and quality of work.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation, company policies, and environmental regulations.
- Plan daily work schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor work quality, safety compliance, and progress, addressing any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work activities, materials used, and safety documentation.
- Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for drainage projects.
- Identify and resolve technical issues on-site, providing practical solutions to keep projects on track.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in drainage installation, maintenance, or related civil engineering disciplines.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Drainage or equivalent, or a recognised industry certification.
- Valid CSCS card and other necessary health and safety certifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise operatives effectively.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
- Technical proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and clients.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project requirements.
