Supervisor - Audit/Accounts

My client is a fast growing Accountancy Practice that is looking to recruit for afew roles due to the growth of the business. Their goal is to provide locally forged, trusted business advice to SMEs through forward-thinking, close-knit relationships. They are therefore looking for an experienced and driven Audit & Accounts Supervisor to join the Chester office. Reporting to the partners duties of the role will include;

• Overseeing and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring high standards and adherence to deadlines.
• Lead the preparation and finalisation of statutory accounts, along with related tax, VAT, and PAYE submissions.
• Support and develop junior team members, reviewing work and providing guidance to maintain quality outputs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive solutions and timely responses.
• Coordinate workloads effectively, prioritising tasks and preparing deliverables for senior management review.
• Ensure accurate time recording and contribute to successful fee recovery across engagements.

The right candidate will be;

• ACA/ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience in practice.
• Extensive experience in both audit and accounts within an accountancy firm is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with a confident, client-focused approach.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
• A team leader who enjoys mentoring and working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero) is advantageous.
• A passion for supporting SME clients with practical, high-quality advice.
