Recruit the right people and manage the performance and deployment of staff within your department. Identify and manage all issues relating to stock ensuring that it is kept at an appropriate level for the season. Ensure the consistency of product, range and price is in line with those set by the buyers. Identify opportunities to increase sales in your department and across the centre. Contribute to the planning of space and seasonal changes within your department. Implement planned changes within your department. Ensure display presentation, pricing and signage are attractive to our customers. Organise and manage stocktakes, stock turn, markdowns and wastage within your department. Contribute to the smooth running of events. Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers and encouraging feedback. Maintain fixtures, fittings, equipment and materials within your department. Authorise and process invoices efficiently. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures. Act as Duty Manager and key holder for the business. Candidate Requirements Proven experience in a garden centre or seasonal retail Excellent leadership and team management skills.
