Sunday Retail Assistant (Welwyn Garden City) – Isabel HospiceWe are looking for Retail Volunteers to assist us in our Welwyn Garden City Shops on Sundays. If you have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help out in one of our shops, we’d love to hear from you! This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact. Our shops play a crucial role in raising funds to support the essential services of Isabel Hospice.As a Retail Assistant, you will support and assist the team in maximising the shop''s income by ensuring the shop floor is fully stocked and properly merchandised, and customers are served efficiently. We ask you to commit to at least one regular half-day session. Session times are: AM: 10am - 1pm; PM: 1pm - 4pm.Responsibilities

Providing the highest standard of service to customersKeeping the shop fully stocked and ensuring items are displayed to show them at their bestOperating tills and taking paymentsEnsuring both stock and cash security procedures are always followedContributing to keeping the shop and premises clean and tidyProviding support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their rolesPromoting the public’s understanding of the work of Isabel Hospice and the importance of raising funds through the shopRaising awareness of Gift Aid to our customersPromoting and applying the Isabel Hospice Health and Safety PolicyYour skills and abilities

We ask that our volunteers are:At least 18 years oldLive within an easy commute to the areaInterested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per weekAll volunteers are assessed individually for the volunteer roles they are applying for.
