Working Pattern: Permanent Full Time Flexible First options available The role As part of SSEN Transmissions Offshore Portfolio of works, we have an opportunity for a Substation Project Engineer to join our newly formed Offshore AC Project Engineering team to help drive forward our Island projects and successfully deliver a network for Net Zero. Our Island projects facilitate the connection to our HVDC systems and include state-of the-art AC plant, grid control and stabilisation technology. You will - Create outline scope, site location plans, primary plant/ substation layout and Single Line Diagrams for new build and asset replacement type projects, operating up to 400kV. - Review contractor/consultants detailed designs and witnessing Factory Acceptance Testing. - Implement safety by design principles to ensure that engineering and safety risks are adequately controlled. - Support site and operational teams to ensure the quality of installations, with minimal risk to Network security. - Evaluate tenders and procure and manage specialist services from consultants.
