      <description>Location: Birmingham | Salary: &amp;pound;55.00 - &amp;pound;60.12/hour | Type: Contract | Senior Substation Secondary (P&amp;C) Design Engineer    Locations:  Epsom, Birmingham, Leeds or Glasgow   Contract:  Freelance / Ad-hoc | 12 Months Minimum   Rate:  -60 per hour | Inside IR35   Start:  ASAP  We are seeking an experienced Senior Substation Secondary (Protection &amp; Control) Design Engineer to support major transmission and distribution projects across the UK.  You will lead FEED and Detailed Design activities, providing technical oversight across P&amp;C design deliverables including protection schemes, SLDs, wiring diagrams, relay philosophies, I/O schedules and substation automation systems.   Key Requirements    Strong experience in Protection &amp; Control design within transmission/distribution projects  Experience with substation design projects, ideally up to 400kV  Ability to lead technical design reviews and coordinate multidisciplinary teams  Client-facing experience and strong communication skills  Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline   This is a hybrid role with a minimum expectation of 3 days per week in the office or on client site.
