Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you would offer specialist clinical interventions to young people who use our services. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and passionate

Substance Misuse Nurse to help shape our vision in how we provide clinical services to individuals whose lives have been affected by drugs and alcohol.

The role will have a varied and challenging workload and you will have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Full Time Salary Range

£37,184.91 - £43,384.62 (pro rata for part time hours)

please note Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

The focus of this role is to provide a clinical response to people who require specialist interventions as part of a holistic treatment service. Each person will be co-worked within the team and jointly managed with other agencies and services as appropriate. You will play a key role in assessing the nursing needs of a person, considering their medical, social, cultural and family circumstances

About you

First level registered nurse with recent relevant post qualification experience and a current PIN

Experience of working with peopleKnowledge of working with evidence based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidanceSound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventionsAbility to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports, as necessaryClinical auditing skills to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for developmentEmploy a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitudeAn understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with service users, peers, and other relevant professionals
