About the Role

This permanent Subsea Project Engineer position in Leeds offers a salary of £45,000 to £60,000 and sits within an established engineering team serving the energy and subsea sector. The successful candidate will lead engineering projects from execution through to build and testing, coordinating activities and internal stakeholders throughout. Acting as a key technical contact for customers, they will review specifications, provide technical guidance, and oversee top-level design and associated documentation. Responsibilities also include chairing internal and external design reviews, supporting build and testing phases, and delivering regular project updates to engineering management. Applicants should demonstrate strong project coordination skills, technical review capability, and proven experience within subsea or energy engineering environments.

We are looking for an experienced Subsea Project Engineer to join an established engineering team in Leeds, working on large-scale projects within the energy and subsea sector. You will lead engineering projects from execution through to build and testing, working closely with customers and internal engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
Lead engineering projects from design through to delivery.
Coordinate engineering activities and internal stakeholders.
Act as a key technical contact for customers.
Review specifications and provide technical guidance.
Oversee top-level design and technical documentation.
Lead internal and external design reviews.
Support build, testing and project delivery.
Provide regular project refreshs to engineering management.
Ensure projects meet quality, safety and company standards.
Key Skills
Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
Experience leading engineering projects or multidisciplinary engineering activities.
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with SAP, PLM, AutoCAD, Inventor or other 3D CAD software is advantageous.
