Contract: Full time, starting immediately
Salary: andpound;168.80 - andpound;232.57 per day + TLR
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Science department with energy, innovation, and strategic vision
- Drive improvements in teaching and learning across KS3andndash;KS4
- Mentor and support a team of science teachers to deliver outstanding lessons
- Develop and implement a curriculum thatandrsquo;s engaging, inclusive, and academically rigorous
- Monitor student progress and use data to inform interventions and planning
- Champion science across the school and within the wider community
- Collaborate with SLT to align departmental goals with whole-school priorities
Qualifications andamp; Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching science at secondary level
- Strong track record of raising attainment and leading initiatives
- Excellent subject knowledge in at least one science discipline
- Previous leadership experience (e.g. KS coordinator, second in department) desirable
- Passion for science education and a commitment to student success
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team with confidence
