Sub-Agent

We are working with a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Sub-Agent for their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic business delivering a range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects across Scotland. The role will see you take responsibility for supporting site delivery, coordinating works, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.

As the Sub-Agent your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Supporting the Site Agent in the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering projects
* Supervising site operations and ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements
* Managing subcontractors and site teams to maintain productivity and quality standards
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
* Assisting with planning, reporting, and progress monitoring
* Supporting setting out, engineering control, and technical problem-solving on site

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

* Previous experience in a Sub-Agent or Site Engineer role within civil engineering
* Strong understanding of site-based construction activities and sequencing
* Good leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams on site
* Solid knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and programmes
