Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping create a positive school experience? We are currently recruiting for a Student Welfare Officer to join a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Ealing. This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, with a September start.

With a strong focus on pastoral care, safeguarding and student wellbeing, the school provides a positive environment where staff work together to support every learner.

As a Student Welfare Officer, you will be responsible for providing essential welfare and pastoral support to students throughout the school day. You will work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and families to help address student needs and ensure appropriate support is provided.

Please note: A valid First Aid qualification is compulsory for this position. Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of their certification before commencing the role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day welfare and pastoral support to students

• Responding to student medical needs and administering first aid when required

• Supporting safeguarding processes and recording concerns accurately

• Building positive relationships with students, parents and school staff

• Monitoring student wellbeing, attendance and engagement

• Working with internal teams and external professionals to provide appropriate support

• Maintaining confidential and accurate student records
