Student Support & Services Coordinator - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a supportive secondary school in the Kettering area seeking a proactive and compassionate Student Support & Services Coordinator to join their pastoral team. This rewarding role is ideal for candidates with experience in education, youth work, pastoral support, or student welfare who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, teaching staff, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a key point of contact for students requiring additional pastoral and wellbeing support.

• Monitor attendance, behaviour, and student engagement, identifying concerns and implementing support strategies.

• Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to coordinate effective student support.

• Support the school''s safeguarding and student welfare procedures.

• Help students develop positive behaviours, resilience, and confidence.

• Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to improve outcomes for learners.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to student support plans.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, or support capacity.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.

• A calm, professional, and empathetic approach.

• The ability to manage challenging situations positively and effectively.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
