My client is looking to recruit a Student Success Advisor to work on a contract for 2/3 months.- You must have proven experience in the same or similar role and happy to work on site 5 days a week.
Role Purpose:
To provide first-line support to students across the Student journey, delivering advice, guidance, and practical support on routine and sensitive matters. The role forms part of the Student Success Team and supports the -system and broader student wellbeing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide frontline support via drop-in sessions, email, phone, and scheduled appointments.

Manage a caseload of student enquiries including financial support, disability, housing, complaints, and academic appeals.

Assist students in accessing funding, including scholarships, hardship funds, and Disabled Students Allowance.

Guide students through policies and procedures, promoting wellbeing and inclusion.

Liaise with internal services such as Registry, Disability Advisors, and Housing Support.

Plan and run student-focused events and campaigns.

Maintain records in the-enquiry management system.
-
Provide proactive support for students in crisis, applying Mental Health First Aid principles.
Person Specification:
Essential:
-
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
-
Experience in welfare/support-based roles or advice services, ideally in Higher Education.

Knowledge of advice techniques (face-to-face, phone, online).
-
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
-
Familiarity with confidentiality, equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Ability to manage a caseload and respond calmly to sensitive or crisis situations.

Mental Health First Aid qualification.
Desirable:

Membership of a relevant professional body.

Experience in student funding, disability legislation, housing support, or mental health support.

Experience in Higher Education or contemporary art and design environments.

Experience organising events and using enquiry management or CRM systems.
